Team Elan is the current women's world champion 4-way
skydiving team. Formerly known as
Team Airkix, the team has
just completed another year of training for the 2007 UK
National Championships and is excited to announce they
have made selection for the 2008 World Skydiving
Championships in France.
What is a skydiving team?
Team Elan competes in the sport of  4-way Formation
Skydiving (4-way). The most  popular of the parachuting
sports, 4-way is fast, furious and highly competitive.
Teams of 4 aerial athletes exit the plane at 10,500 feet
and race through a sequence of formations in freefall,
against the clock. Each jump is filmed from above by a
cameraflyer, and this footage is used to score the team.
Who is Team Elan?
The current women's world champion skydiving team and the
current female world record holders (30 formations in 35 seconds).

Team Objective 2007/ 8

Make a jump!
Ever wanted to try jumping out of a plane
yourself? Skydiving is not only a highly
competitive sport, it's also an exciting
recreational activity, a great way to meet
people and keep fit, and is a lower
insurance risk than snowboarding or
equestrianism.

Thousands of people make their first jump
in the UK every year. Team Elan
recommends
Target Skysports in the UK
and
Skydive Spain in Europe - our home
and abroad team training centres.
